Mechanical Thumb
**THUMB MUST BE WELDED TO UNDERSIDE OF ARM**
The Evans & Reid Mechanical Thumb is a versatile attachment which grips a wide variety of any shape
material like a thumb.
The thumb can be used in conjunction with buckets or rakes and is easily folded away or removed
when not needed.
There are two types available:
Mechanical: Thumb is held by a stay bar in a fixed position for the bucket to pinch against.
Hydraulic: A hydraulic ram replaces stay bar which allows a greater versatility of use allowing the

Design shape “curved or straight†can be specified according to materials to be handled to increase
productivity
